Your privacy is not an afterthought here — it is one of the foundations on which Massage Slide is built.

Your name and number are never stored on any computer, database, or online system. Bookings are kept only in a private handwritten diary. Nothing about you is digital. Nothing is shared with anyone. Ever.

Who We Are

Massage Slide is an independent, privately run holistic massage service based in Fareham, Hampshire. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller responsible for any personal information you share with us.

If you have any questions or concerns at all about your privacy, please get in touch directly:

What We Hold & Where

When you get in touch to make a booking, we ask only for your name and a phone number so we can confirm your appointment. That is all we need, and all we take.

This information — your name and number — is written into a private handwritten diary. It is never entered into a computer, never stored in a database, never uploaded anywhere, and is accessible only to your practitioner. It exists on paper, behind a closed door, and nowhere else.

Messages sent to us by SMS or WhatsApp live only on the devices involved in that conversation, as any private message would. We do not archive, copy, or forward them. Once your appointment is complete, there is no ongoing digital record of your visit whatsoever.

We do not use online booking forms. We do not collect email addresses. We do not hold payment details — sessions are settled privately at the time of your appointment.

This Website

Visiting this website does not tell us who you are. If you have accepted cookies, we use Google Analytics — a standard tool that gives us anonymous statistics such as how many people visited the site and which pages they looked at. It does not collect your name, your number, or anything that could identify you personally. We have no way of knowing you visited.

If you would prefer that even this anonymous data is not collected, simply decline cookies when the banner appears. Our Cookie Policy explains everything in full and includes a direct opt-out link.

Who We Share Your Information With

Nobody. We do not share your name, your number, or any detail of your visits with any other person or organisation — not friends, not family, not other businesses, not marketing companies. Not anyone, under any circumstances.

The only theoretical exception would be if we were compelled to do so by law — for example, by a court order. This is an extraordinary circumstance we have no expectation of ever arising, and it would apply to any business operating in the UK.

Google Analytics receives only the anonymous website data described above. They have no access to your name, number, or identity in any form.

How Long We Keep Your Details

Diary entries are kept for a reasonable period to help manage appointments, and are then removed. We keep nothing longer than is practically necessary.

If you would like your details removed at any time — for any reason, and with absolutely no questions asked — simply contact us and it will be done promptly and without hesitation.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights regarding any personal information we hold. All of them can be exercised simply by contacting us — there is no process, no form, and no charge:

We will always respond within one calendar month.

If You Have a Concern

We hope you will always feel comfortable coming to us directly with any privacy question — our door is open. However, if you feel your concerns have not been addressed, you have the right to contact the UK's data protection authority:

Changes to This Policy

If anything here changes, we will update this page and the date shown at the top. Our approach to your privacy is simple by design, and we intend it to stay that way.
